The second installment of the Curated by Arkitip project has finally been released. Collaborating with Dutch Artist, Parra, Incase released a 15″ laptop sleeve and an iPhone 3G slider case. Both pieces feature Parra’s signature bold and colorful graphics, inspired by old comics and cartoons. Both the sleeve and case are now available at the Incase online store. Check out more shots after the jump with a behind-the-scenes video giving a closer look at the project.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. doctors have found the Bee Gees 1977 disco anthem "Stayin' Alive" provides an ideal beat to follow while performing chest compressions as part of CPR on a heart attack victim.


The American Heart Association calls for chest compressions to be given at a rate of 100 per minute in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). "Stayin' Alive" almost perfectly matches that, with 103 beats per minute.

CPR is a lifesaving technique involving chest compressions alone or with mouth-to-mouth rescue breathing. It is used in emergencies such as cardiac arrest in which a person's breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

CPR can triple survival rates, but some people are reluctant to do it in part because they are unsure about the proper rhythm for chest compressions. But research has shown many people do chest compressions too slowly during CPR.

In a small study headed by Dr. David Matlock of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, listening to "Stayin' Alive" helped 15 doctors and medical students to perform chest compressions on dummies at the proper speed.

Five weeks after practicing with the music playing, they were asked to perform CPR again on dummies by keeping the song in their minds, and again they kept up a good pace.

"The theme 'Stayin' Alive' is very appropriate for the situation," Matlock said in a telephone interview on Thursday. "Everybody's heard it at some point in their life. People know the song and can keep it in their head."

The findings will be presented this month at a meeting of the American College of Emergency Physicians in Chicago.

Kanye will be releasing his next album November 25th, 2008. The album is said to be titled "808's & Heartbreak" After his breakup with his fiancé Alexis Phifer in April 2008..And should include his latest singles (Love Lockdown and Heartless). The album will be more focused on singing rather than rapping. I wonder what percentage of the album will use the Auto-tune effect?? Kanye's style has changed drastically since his previous albums. I love how that he has been able to balance the commercial audience and still be true to himself, a skill that Kanye himself credits the Dead Prez for helping him learn. Even though I might not play these tracks in a club I can connect with the emotions in his music. but who knows I might work on a remix for
"Heartless".

Dan Lachman wanted to be an artist, but he realized early on that his drawing skills were limited to stick figures. As a ninth-grader, he created iron-on decals of movie titles he liked -- including "Seven" and "Fight Club" -- and printed them on blank T-shirts. Later, he came up with goofy phrases and e-mailed T-shirt companies, begging them to print his ideas. They refused. "I was like, whatever, I'll do it myself," Dan recalls.

Since then, Dan's aesthetic has evolved from catchy slogan T-shirts to richly colored garments that showcase the work of emerging artists from around the world. Since finding his first designer through Craigslist when he was a high school senior and starting his company, Sharp Shirter, Dan, 21, of Bethesda has joined with nearly two dozen artists to create clothing and laptop skins................

I know it's a little late but I was meaning to post pictures of the new MacBook and MacBook Pro.. From a design point of view they look absolutely amazing. I love the black framing on the screen!!! Each MacBook Features an LED Backlit Display for better battery life and is milled out of a solid piece of aluminum meaning more durable and sleeker!! Unlike the older MacBooks they don't use a clickable button on the trackpad rather they use an improved trackpad with more advanced multi-touch abilities!!

As some already know Pandu is up in New York for the week (Hope he takes some pictures to post)!!!! Make sure you wish Antea happy birthday for me. DON'T PARTY TOO HARD....JK

If you are into House music this will probably be one of the best shows you ever see!!! Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso are two of my faviorite House Producers/DJ's and I've heard they put on an amazing show. I'm looking forward to seeing them perform live @ Ultrabar Thursday Oct. 30th.
