Spotlight On: Ksubi
Okay, so no one I know could probably afford all of these items from ksubi, but they are very lovely to look at. They are a really great combination of rock, urban, and in the menswear case, classics. I mean a leather shirt? Now thats creative...
Ksubi keeps a neutral color palate, something that you may have been able to guess is a favorite of mine, and they make their clothes seem put together while clearly they're meant to be worn by a hip night owl with a tendency of not washing their hair.

DJ Thrill: 4 AM Mix
A Basic Idea: Women's Day and Night
Following yesterdays men's fashion post, is one for women. It goes with the same ideas of working with a basic foundation (black, white, and denim), and then adding trendier accessories to make the outfit look current and fun. For day there is a classic shirt and jeans combination mixed with leather boots, and a canvas bag to keep it casual. I have also added a bracelet, and sunglasses to make it more special and fun.
For night we are working with a black mini skirt and a white t-shirt (which I would tuck into the skirt). The shoes add color, and since they have a chunkier heel they will be comfier than a high stiletto. Again, I have added gold jewelry, which will make the shirt seem more evening appropriate, and a beaded bag, which could also be used during the day if you were to go to lunch or a party.

A Basic Idea: Mens Day and Night
For the first fashion post we have chosen to focus on basic colors and silhouettes. It is important to have basic items in your wardrobe so you don't end up looking too trendy, or like you're trying too hard. To me, the ideal look for day is to appear as if you didn't think about what you were putting on; that it look instinctive. If you have clothing that is within the same color palate it will be easier to make an outfit that looks cohesive, because you don't have to worry too much about colors clashing or overpowering one another.
These two looks work for this time of year because they incorporate summer and fall fabrics. The day look will keep you cool, but still provide structure, because of the closed toe shoe, and the long sleeves. For the nighttime look, you will be kept cool with a t-shirt, but will still look ready to dance with dark wash jeans, and a dressier watch.

Ned Devine's
Last Night we hit up Ned Devine's Centerville. We had a great time, and so did everyone else. We were going to record the madness, but the power supply on our recorder broke. So I'm off to Radio Shack to pick up a new power supply, Wish me luck.
